YouCastr Faceoff

Two of the most popular live college sports teams on YouCastr, Eastern Michigan University and Oakland University, faced off this past week in hockey, with their respective YouCastr online broadcasts going head-to-head in the same time slot as well. It was quite enjoyable to follow. Both ACHA conference teams have been on YouCastr through the duration of their seasons, with more college sports games seemingly on the horizon.

It's schools just like these which reap the benefits of YouCastr the most. Many friends and family of the hockey programs at Eastern Michigan and Oakland have joined YouCastr to checkout the games when they can't make it live. It's really easy so anyone can hop on and do live broadcasting of the games, but at the same time, it's equally simple to effortlessly sign up for an account and follow the online streaming live. We've seen many fans of these school joining the site. Although the fans are not as numerous as some of the larger, more mainstrem DI programs, the fan-bases are equally, if not more passionate. It's good to see they have a place to follow the teams they care about the most.

University of Michigan by the Students

WCBNsports, the official student voice of the University of Michigan, has found YouCastr to be a great, consistent forum to allow their fellow students to follow the University of Michigan college sports broadcasts by the students.  The localized live broadcasting has been in tact for weeks now, covering all the happenings of the Wolverines surprising comeback this season in basketball.  In recent weeks, the start of the conference play has begun, with online broadcasting of the games against Ohio State, Iowa, and Illinois being on YouCastr.  As they recently entered the top 25 for the first time in years, and with the rebuilding year for the football team, the enthusiasm on campus for the turnaround has been quite apparent, and having an effective student voice like WCBN to follow their college sports has been tremendous.

Live Video of College Sports

Broadcasting live college sports is really easy.  We already have many schools like Oakland University hockey, Eastern Michigan University hockey, and Oklahoma Wesleyan University girls and boys basketball reaping the benefits of that, by allowing their fans to enjoy interactive, live broadcasting of their events.  We're contacted daily by schools interested in partaking in the easy audio broadcasting that these other sports programs have already been enjoying.

Now, though, we're prepared to take it to another level.  The past couple of months, we've been planning and building the functionality to broadcast live video of local college sports.   We're currently putting the finishing touches on our offerings, but we just did our first tests and the product looks awesome!  Our current users loved the live video, and many prospective colleges have grown excited of the idea.  As we work on putting the finishing touches on the live video and its accompanying services, we ask that you take our broadcaster survey if you're interested in broadcasting your local college sports, or our college survey if you play of follow college sports, so we can provide the most effective solution to college sports broadcasting.
